Finding a full-day daycare centre in Petaling Jaya is not something to take lightly, especially if your child has never been in daycare before!

Where many adults opt for daycare or playschool, it isn’t uncommon for parents to do their due diligence in order to find the RIGHT daycare centre in PJ for their child.  After all, with some of awful the stories in recent news about abuse happening in daycare centres in Malaysia, it’s no wonder parents are becoming more and more cautious about where they send their child or children!

Personally, I have seen a few schools and daycare centres in Petaling Jaya, and not all of them can boast being clean.  I understand that children play, and as such there will be toys scattered about in an untidy fashion.  This I am OK with – when I say “unclean,” I am not talking about having toys strewn across the classroom:  in fact, I find this to be refreshing!  Children need a space where they can be children!  But when I started looking for a daycare centre in PJ for my daughter, some of the centres were downright disgusting. 

 

The floors were either sticky or stained, the desks and tables had a fine film of dirt coating them, and the children were playing with toys that I am positive were not sanitised.  Perhaps I am a little severe on some of these daycare centres, but personally I know that children are going to pass around germs on their own, and I feel it is the school’s or daycare centre’s job to minimise the passing of germs between children.
